Confections For A Cure

We were inspired recently with an eleven year old Service Plus Credit Union member who is making a difference in this world.

Students in Camden's class were challenged to come up with a business idea.  Camden decided he would create a non-profit business and that is how Camden’s Confections for a Cure was born.  Camden baked delicious items and sold them with all funds to be donated to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude's treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.

Camden ended up raising over $650 on his own.  He had planned on personally delivering the donation to St. Jude’s, but unfortunately pandemic protocols didn't allow it.
